MACHINING AND MOUNTING

GENERAL QUESTIONS
This is our most asked question! Everything you need is listed in the BOM (Bill of Materials). You can find it in two places:
Directly within the BOM section of the product page.
Inside the comprehensive Assembly PDF included with your purchase. It includes exact quantities, dimensions, and even direct sourcing links to save you time.
- You can also find many parts on our DIY Tools page.
Ease of Assembly: 5/10. If you have basic DIY skills, you can build this. The assembly is straightforward thanks to our detailed exploded views and the fact that most parts are “bolt-on.” No complex machining is required.
Yes! The pack includes a professional PDF documentation with exploded views, a full Bill of Materials (BOM) with purchase links, and technical drawings to ensure a smooth “no-headache” assembly process.
Yes! The thick plywood panels and reinforced geometry are designed to handle high-torque wheelbases. For wheels over 10Nm, we recommend using the 18mm or 20mm board thickness for maximum stiffness.
You can also add brackets under the steering wheel support.
If you have all the materials ready, the assembly takes approximately 4 to 6 hours for a hand-build, and about 2 hours if the parts are pre-cut by a CNC machine.
While not mandatory, we recommend applying at least one coat of clear varnish or floor paint. This protects the wood from sweat and humidity, ensuring your rig lasts for years.
The rig is designed to be universal. Most side-mount or bottom-mount racing seats (with standard sliders) will fit perfectly on our adjustable mounting plates.
Specifications
We highly recommend using Birch Plywood or any other high-density hardwood. Avoid low-grade construction lumber or OSB for better rigidity.
The official design is based on 18mm (3/4″) thickness. However, you can use boards ranging from 15mm to 20mm (5/8″ to 13/16″).
Note: Our hardware list is calculated for 18mm boards. If you choose a different thickness, remember to adjust your bolt lengths accordingly (+/- a few millimeters).
Performance & Comfort
To eliminate noise, use the sound-absorbing pads listed in the BOM (Bill of Materials). Place small cutouts between the wooden panels at the joint interfaces to prevent wood-on-wood contact during heavy Force Feedback.
The chassis is engineered to comfortably support drivers up to 1.95m (6’5″) tall and weighing up to 150kg (330 lbs).
The rig features a clean setup using self-adhesive plastic clips (see product photos) attached to the bottom and inner panels. This allows you to route all USB and power cables out of sight.
Assembly & Hardware
Both the seat and the pedal tray use the same interchangeable mounting plate system. They are secured using a locking pin (goupille) and tightened with an M10 clamping handle for quick and tool-less adjustments.
Yes. We strongly recommend applying a drop of wood glue or Super Glue inside the hole before screwing in the insert nuts. This fuses the metal to the wood fibers and prevents them from loosening over time due to vibrations.
