DIY Sim Studio started as a personal project driven by two passions: sim racing and engineering. I design and share DIY sim racing hardware projects for people who enjoy building their own equipment and understanding how it works, not just buying it.
I’m not a large company. I’m a maker, a designer, and a sim racing enthusiast who believes great hardware should be accessible, customizable, and honestly designed.
My experience with sim racing started early.
Like many, it began with Gran Turismo 2 on the PlayStation 1. That’s where I first discovered track layouts, racing lines, and the feeling of pushing a car lap after lap. Later came Forza Motorsport 2 and 4 on Xbox 360, which deepened my interest in more realistic driving physics and car behavior.
Eventually, I moved to PC — where everything changed.
Titles like Assetto Corsa, Automobilista, rFactor 2, DiRT Rally 1 & 2, and RaceRoom Racing Experience shaped the way I understand driving feel, feedback, and realism today.
Some tracks never get old for me: Spa-Francorchamps, Nürburgring Nordschleife, Monza, Macau, and Laguna Seca — circuits where precision, rhythm, and commitment truly matter.
My hardware evolved the same way my passion did: Logitech Driving Force GT, Logitech G27, Thrustmaster T500, AccuForce V2.
Each step taught me what felt right, what didn’t, and why good hardware makes such a difference. That experience directly influences how I design every DIY Sim Studio project — focusing on feel, consistency, and realism rather than marketing promises.
Besides sim racing, I also enjoy Virtual Pinball.
